saturday show & share: the rooster and the hen

December 10, 2011 By Linda 1 Comment

Today is all about blog envy …

… and I mean that in a nicest of ways possible.  Really and seriously. I’m not envious.  I’m amazed and inspired …

Especially when the bloggers in question have been so welcoming and responsive and forthcoming with information about ‘taboo’ topics like advertising and promotion.  And they only launched one month before me … and have gained so many followers …

I feel like they’ve given me so much … and I’ve been lacking in return.

I don’t like to lack.

So today I give them a feature.  I realize my following is still fledging …. but if you like my blog and style and projects then I think you’ll like The Rooster and The Hen too. They don’t disappoint …

I first crossed their paths at the weekly and monthly link parties that I participate in like so …

I always go back and check out what others have posted.  And I kept being drawn to thumbnail photos like this one …

… and time and time again found myself landing on the same blog …

… The Rooster and The Hen.

Dustin and Whitney truly adhere to the content is king rule.  Their writing is polished, witty and wry and it stands up to their amazing, creative projects and beautiful photography.

They also recently launched their etsy shop (which you can find here) … so you know what that means.  I’ll be bugging them again with a million-and-one questions before I open my very own etsy.

Their merchandise is so cute …

… that I wouldn’t want to ruin them with my wet dishes!

So Dustin & Whitney, thank you so much for all your help and support …

(… and Dustin, sorry for the ‘from behind’ shot.  The only front shot I came across included your son and I wanted to be respectful of his privacy.)
