Amazon in My Home Decor … and a Few Condo Sneak Peeks

July 10, 2025 By Linda Leave a Comment

Amazon in My Home Decor – Furniture Finds on Amazon – Home Decor on Amazon*

High-rise buildings have a lot of rules. Rules about smells. Rules about noise. Rules about renovations.

And rules about deliveries.

Weekdays only. Between 8 am and 4 pm. Not a minute before 8. Not a minute after 4. Deliveries must be scheduled and approved in advance by the building’s management company. The delivery company must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) ensuring financial responsibility for any potential damage to elevators and common areas.

Oh, and there’s a special entrance for deliveries. No traipsing through the front door of the lobby.

Phew.

I’m exhausted just typing this.

And I’ll be honest, coordinating deliveries has caused me my fair share of stress. Especially when we first moved in. Because I started fresh with the condo. New couch. New dining room table. New buffet. New bedframe.

You get the idea.

And with all this new furniture comes a lot of delivery scheduling.

But my shining light – or more like my workaround – to all this delivery scheduling is the building’s receiving room.

No appointment needed.

You know what can be delivered to the receiving room with no appointment needed? Amazon orders. Big and small.

I’ve been working my workaround. πŸ˜‰

Faux Leather Storage Ottoman

Like the delivery of this amazing faux leather storage ottoman. In a big box. No scheduling needed.

And yes, that’s a teeny, tiny sneak peek at the living room. πŸ˜‰

Sauder Armoire/Wardrobe

This armoire/wardrobe was also an Amazon online order. It didn’t come assembled, though. No problem. I just ordered a taskrabbit.

Small Wicker Storage Baskets (set of 2) and 4 Stackable, Expandable Cabinet Organizers

This piece is perfect for housing our printer and office supplies. That is once I ordered expandable shelf orgainzers and baskets. So far it’s a great solution.

Sauder Storage Cabinet/Bookcase

This bookshelf is another Amazon find that came in a box filled with instructions and hardware for assembly. I tackled this task on my own. It wasn’t easy, but I just took it slow and steady.

And employed Mike’s help from time to time.

So far it hasn’t fallen apart. πŸ˜‰

Oh and that’s a sneak peek into a corner of the master bedroom.

Sage Green Pillow Cover Set of 4 and Solid Sage Green Corduroy Pillow Cover

Amazon is also my go-to for seasonal pillow covers. Though I seem to be in the sage green season for a couple of years now. πŸ™‚

These pillow covers made the cut to the new condo.

Sage Green Fleece Throw Blanket (comes in multiple sizes from throws to California King)

This throw is so cute and comfy that I have a second one in my Amazon cart right now to throw on my bed. It’s in the color linen (a sneak peek into my bedroom color scheme) and the queen size is at a 33% Amazon deal day discount.

nuLOOM Hand-Braided Indoor/Outdoor Rug in Wynn Ivory and 28.7″ Tall Olive Branch Faux Stems and 5″ x 12″ Cylinder Vase

I love this rug. I have it in the dining room (8×8). I have it in the living room (9×12). I have it in the bedrooms (in the Wynn Tan) in 9×12 and 8×12. I even have it as a runner on the front balcony.

To me it feels like a sweater. A warm, cozy sweater.

Oh, and the vase and stems are among the few things that actually made their way to the condo.

2 Pack LED Cordless Table Lamps

As are these adorable LED cordless table lamps. I have yet to find the perfect spot for them in the condo, but I know I will.

There’s still a few pieces of furniture that are yet to be scheduled for delivery (ugh) where they may work.

Tall Pedestal Planter with Removable Insert Bucket

So this is a serious sneak peek at the front balcony. Oh, you read that right. Front balcony.

Which means there are back balconies too. Oh, you read that right. Back balconies. Plural.

The previous owner left two tall planters. So I just added a third in the middle.

Self-Watering Planters (set of 4)

Along with some self-watering planters. Because I’m a well-documented plant killer. πŸ˜‰

Reclaimed Wood Garden Stool

Finally, I’m loving this reclaimed wood garden stool. Perfect spot to rest my phone. Or a glass or wine. Or my current beach read book.

Next week I’ll give you a fuller look at the balcony.

In the meanwhile, I’m enjoying my new (and old) Amazon finds in my new home! πŸ™‚
