Setting The Holiday Table

December 20, 2014 By Linda 13 Comments

holiday-table-setting-gold-rustic-chic 2

This is a week to remember.

And not because this is the week I finally got my holiday home tour up on the blog. Which I did.

And not because this is the week I finally moved my Etsy shop out of my dining room into a dedicated space. Which I did.

And not because this is the week my 14-year-old daughter discovered there is a difference between drugstore-bought and salon-bought shampoo brands this week. Which she did.

{And I curse the spider that drove her out of her bathroom and into mine to wash her hair, which is where the discovery was made when she washed and conditioned her hair with the heaven that is Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo.}

And not because this is the week I shared some holiday table setting ideas on the Inspired Home website. Which I did.

This is the week the big envelope arrived for my son to his college of choice. Along with some enticing scholarship money.

Hurrah!

We are so proud of him! Congratulations Sam!

And as I type that I’m welling up at the thought of him not living here next fall …

Sad smile

Linda

P.S. And please do go and check out my holiday table setting post on Inspired Home (here). Now that I have a bona fide college-bound kid, I really need to keep that contributing writer gig ….

Winking smile

      I wonder if he’ll let me decorate his dorm room. Doubtful. Maybe just a new comforter set … probably not any art or diy stuff! Sigh. And thanks!!! 🙂

    What a lovely Christmas gift! Congratulations! I know you are so very proud. Have a blessed Christmas, Linda, and don’t worry — they go away but they come back home, too. 🙂

      Thanks Heidi! It’s been a struggle getting him to focus on his future, but he is truly excited (and perhaps a bit scared) now! 🙂
