fabric flower ‘how to’

December 19, 2011 By Linda 3 Comments

I have a new obsession to add to my growing list of obsessions …

Numbers – check
Hooks – check
Board & Batten – check
Drop Cloth as Fabric – check

And now fabric flower rosettes …

Rosette done (500x375) (2)
… check.

I can’t get enough of them and will sew them onto anything that stands still.  I put them on my fall wreath here.

And on my present pillows here …

Present Pillows Twine on couch (550x413) (2)
I sewed them onto my daughter’s plain white school shirts …

… and even made a giant one and put it on a pillow …

rosette large pillow (550x413) (2)
In preparation for tomorrow’s post, I’ve been busy making these little rosettes.  I’ve given this tutorial before here, but thought it might be worth repeating … well, maybe not repeating … more like just showing:

Six down …

rosettes final (2)
… six more to go.

And be sure to check back tomorrow to find out how I’ll put them to use this time around …

Oh thanks so much, so glad you repeated the tut for the flowers. I didn’t have ink to print it out the first time so now can print it out and make some. I need to get my sewing machine going so I can make some pillows and put these awesome fabric flowers on them and whatever else I can think of.
