My first order of business when I visit a new DIY blog is to seek out the “Our Home,” “Our House,” “Home Tour” tab or link. I guess its just the voyeur in me. I never tire of seeing how real people decorate their homes.
Looking at my Blogger stats I see many of you are the same. My “Our Home” tab received more than its fair share of page visits …
…and speaking of page visits — I don’t know if this is good or bad — but the blog received 1,200+ page visits in it’s first week. I’m pleased. Especially since this whole blogging thing is a LOT of work. Not that I’m complaining. I’m thrilled to have discovered something that combines two of my greatest passions: writing & creating.
Starting this week, I’m going to tackle my “Our House” page tab (which will involve lots of cleaning and picture taking — oh, and did I say cleaning?). In the meanwhile, here’s a sneak peek …
Thank you, thank you, and thank you to all of you who are stopping by, commenting, and supporting me in this endeavor!

Hi there! My name is Linda and I’m a Jersey-born-and-bred Midwestern transplant who lives in Chicago with my husband and two children. We've lived in our home since 1995 and over the years our style has changed and evolved. I wouldn't call my home a work-in-progress -- more like a rework-in-progress as I refresh and remodel things around here ... one room at a time.

I always check the “Our Home” links also. I can’t wait to see yours
…and 1,200 page visits! That’s amazing! Be proud
Good Morning and Merry Christmas! I was just checking in the Sharyl at Little Brown House, and while reading through the comments I saw your blog title. I laughed outloud because I don’t know how many times my husband or I have said, “It all started with the paint” while discussing our home. You home is beautiful, I am looking forward to catching up on your previous posts. And I have to ask, where did you get the adorable little dairy truck that is on the shelf in your kitchen?
Your pictures are great, also your blog and projects.
I was especially taken with the color you use – love them !
