Math Teacher Mason Jar Gift – Back to School Mason Jar Crafts – Teacher Gift Ideas.

I’m calling this a math teacher mason jar craft. But in reality, I made this math mason jar for my math student child.
Specifically, my statistics major student.

She’s no longer a math student but has now graduated with a statistics degree. With top honors, if you’ll forgive my humble brag.
Though not sure why it’s a brag for me. She’s the one who put in the blood, sweat and tears (yes, there were tears) to achieve this amazing achievement.
We couldn’t be more proud!

And post graduation, she’s been putting serious thought into her future. A future that could include her becoming a student again as she pursues a Master Degree.
Or a future that could include her actually becoming a math teacher.
Either way, this cute math mason jar is at the ready to keep her pens and pencils organized. 🙂

As a total aside, I’ve come to realize this is my first ever back-to-school project on this blog.
Can you believe that?
I’m flabbergasted that after 14 years (!) I’ve never once created a teacher gift craft. Not a custom gift card holder. Not a kid-friendly teacher gift idea for the holidays. Or end of school year. Nothing. Nada. Nunca.
I’m floored.
So let’s pop open some bubbly and celebrate a first here on this blog! 🙂

Start by giving your mason jar a thorough covering with black spray paint. I prefer spray paint vs. brushed paint for this project because spray paint gives you a perfectly smooth surface.
Let dry overnight before proceeding to the next step.

Before I pulled out my white paint pen to add formulas to the math mason jar, I first did a little Google search for statistics formulas (since my daughter was a stats major). My best source were images I found on Shutterstock. Here’s the link. I printed some out and picked out the formulas that I thought I could easily recreate.

Continue adding formulas all around the jar.

I let dry overnight and then finished it off with clear matte spray (I’m loving this brand at the moment).
