Chicago Condo Living Room Inspirations – Neutral Living Room Design Ideas – Gray Couch, Gold Sconces, Light Wood Tones

Am I the only one who needs a vacation from their vacation?
Please, for the sake of my santiy, tell me I’m not the only one!
Because I went to California to visit my best friend Stacy last month. I returned on the 27th of July. And spent all of last week recuperating.
And by recuperating I mean doing absolutely nothing.
Okay, that’s not 100% true. I did create a massive to do list. Only to 100% ignore it all week long.
So that leaves me this week with a looooooong list of to do’s to do this week:
RSVP to nephew’s fall wedding. Check.
Apply for Social Security. Check.
Make progress on a huge custom Etsy mason jar order. Check.
Cancel the Planet Fitness membership (which they’re forcing me to do in person) …
yeah, I’ll do that one tomorrow. 😉
Get back to blogging. Check. Check. Check.
Which brings us to much for fun things than to do lists. And RSVPs. And Etsy orders. Like decorating plans for the Chicago condo living room!
I’m starting with a neutral base palette that I can add color and texture to with pillows and blankets and art. But, more importantly, let’s take a closer look at what I really started with the befores (from the listing photos):

If you’re feeling a 70’s vibe you would not be wrong. This building was built in the 70’s so a sunken living room and a wall of mirrors were all the rage at the time. All we need is an orange shag rug to complete the look! 🙂
Just wait until you get a look at the master bathroom. I’m thinking it might just be original to the building.
Now I just need to get my act together this week to get some pictures taken of the living room after. 🙂
