Today it’s all about inspiration.

99% of the time blogging is a solitary activity. Well, for this blogger it is. Which can be lonely.

But it’s all worth it for the 1%. Because the glorious, amazing, inspirational, pinch-myself-is-this-really-happening-to-me 1% wipes away that solitude. And loneliness.

This past week was all about the 1% …

and it was amazing!

Starting with the amazing Amy Howard, who generously opened her home to the Ace Hardware Bloggers for dinner and drinks. There was also live music with a piano player and singer.

And can I just say how amazingly gorgeous — and inspirational — Amy Howard’s home was? It’s her pied-à-terre as her new home in the country is being built. And it’s gorgeous. Do you see that collage up there? Yep. All rooms in her house …

and all rooms pulled together with amazing furniture pieces she has personally rescued and beautifully restored.

A-MA-ZING!

(P.S. All those photos were taken by my fellow Ace bloggers and posted on their  Instagram accounts. I recommend you follow them all!).

And then there was the amazing inspirational Amy Howard workshop we attended. Taught by Amy herself. Where I learned painting techniques that I thought were well beyond my reach …

Phew.

It was whirlwind.

It was inspirational.

And it was fun to get to know my fellow Ace bloggers better. We shared tips. We shared stories. And I left Memphis feeling truly inspired …

and a little less alone in this blogging world.

Now for some inspirational links for you this weekend, I encourage you to check out my Ace blogger buddies …

Kim at Yellow Brick Home

Tasha at Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body

Michelle at 4 Men 1 Lady

Alison at Henhouse (who couldn’t make it to Memphos, but has a gorgeous blog with gorgeous photography).

Wishing you have an inspirational weekend!

🙂

P.S. You, too, can attend an Amy Howard workshop. Ace launched a national sweepstakes where people can enter to win a trip for two to Memphis to attend an Amy Howard workshop, plus a $500 Ace gift card to buy Amy Howard products when they get back home. it was the best!!!!! i had so much fun and learned so much, but i think the best parts were connecting with bloggers, feeling like part of a team, and listening to amy talk.

Oh wow and wow, wouldn’t that be so much fun and exciting to get to go to that workshop, meet Amy and be able to buy her products. Ill h ave to go into our Ace that’s fairly close by to ask when they’ll have her paints. They get irritated with me as I know about things ahead and ask them about them. This is red neck country out in country, lol .out here.
Sure would love to go, was pretty easy to enter, thanks for making it possible for chance to enter. Glad you got to go to meet other bloggers on the team, how exciting for you. Love it and was fun to learn new techniques? Who doesn’t have their own chalk paint line now? Seems like every week I hear about another one on blog land. Have you used any of them? IF you’ve told us forgive me for forgetting.
Have great week and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed to win.
